You probably know from your box of Funfetti that applesauce can replace the majority of fat in your baking; but it’s also an amazing nutritious sweetener. My boys eat plain steel-cut oats with applesauce: no sugar packets of Quaker required.
Here’s the best one, use a bit to sweeten your marinara sauce! The subtle sweetness helps take the edge off the acidic tomatoes when you don’t have all day to cook it like Grandma did.
